PARVO: Parvo is a very serious and often times a deadly disease in puppies! Please... Please be very aware of this!!! Your puppy WILL NOT BE FULLY VACCINATED/PROTECTED against parvo until he/she is approximately 15 weeks old. I have done the age appropriatley vaccines and dewormings before he/she left me. You have written documentation of this that you will need to take to your veterinarian when your puppy needs the rest of his/her vaccinations! I recommend when you take your puppy to the veterinarian, DO NOT let your puppies feet touch the floor! I either hold my puppy or put the puppies in a crate! (This is very important)!!! Do not let other pets nose your puppy in the veterinarian's office! Stay away from dog parks, stores... ect until your puppy is full vaccinated... Parvo is a virus and is easily transmitted!
EARS STANDING: Frenchie puppies aren't born with upright and stiff ears. They will be soft and floppy when born. It's not until the cartilage starts to form, build and harden that they will get the signature erect look that frenchies are renowned for. However, in most cases, somewhere between the ages of 5-15 weeks, Frenchies ears won't be floppy anymore. But sometimes it can take longer.. Always make sure your frenchie puppy has some good chew toys.
BREATHING: As most of us know, or should know, Frenchies are a flat faced breed known as "brachycephalic" . They snort and snore.... All brachycephalic dogs have compromised airways to some degree and many of them suffer severe symptoms.. Speak with your veterinarian if your dog is experiencing any symptoms of the Brachycephalic Syndrome .. There are both surgical and medical treatments to help manage the condition. Also keep your puppy/dog at a healthy weight, limit his/hers exercise and also, DO NOT LET YOUR FRENCHIE GET TOO HOT! Frenchies are prone to have heatstrokes and die!!
INSURANCE: Each of my puppies leaves with insurance thru the AKC... (30 day free trial). It is up to you if you stay with AKC insurance or another company....I HIGHLY recommend that you have your frenchie on some kind of insurance to protect your new baby and your wallet! Please do your research on this matter... it is also very important for the well being of your new baby!
We have taken very good care of your puppy while he/she has been here with us... We LOVE them all and will miss them terribly!! With that being said, I am always just a phone call or text away... I LOVE seeing pictures and videos of my babies when they are growing and in their new homes! So feel free to send them to me anytime!
